Born Seth Franklin Snyder in White Plains, NY. Between 1986 and 1990 while living in Seoul he painted and exhibited the "Unbound Diary of Plankton's Tailor" a conceptual collection of images drawn and painted on green Korean paper ("nokji"). Along with 'inflatable' artist Dennis DelZotto, he co-founded the "Lucky Structure Performance Project" an atonal, improvisational "sound" ensemble which was one amongst a small group of artist/performers who active in the underground music scene in Williamsburg during the early 1990's. Efroim is perhaps best known for his painted streimel (fur hat) boxes, first shown by Clayton Patterson at his gallery which was to become "The Outlaw Museum". He lives in upstate New York having recently spent several years working on paintings in a remote cliffside studio at an abandoned 19th century iron quarry.
